Angkor temples are built in jungles, among trees. But the whole area has been “sanitized” for the tourists, as with the crazy money they charge for admission they have enough funds for that. Some temples, however, are grown over by trees like here, but they are left like this not for the tourists to admire but because of animistic considerations — spirits supposedly live in the trees, you see.
